Welcome to Graford High School!
Student success is of the utmost importance to us at Graford High School! We have high expectations for each of our students. My goal is that we all, teachers and students alike, continue to be hard-working, striving to learn, and doing our best. If we are all working toward the same goal with the same intensity, then we can't help but succeed in the classroom, in sports, in academic competition, and ultimately in life.
In school, as in the real world, we reap what we sow...hard work, effort, attendance, and
involvement will result in a bountiful harvest of knowledge, experiences, memories,
and friendships.
I am here to be of service to you and your child. If you need me for anything, my door is always open.

Facts about me:
I was born in White Settlement, Texas. I grew up in the Fort Worth area, until my family moved to Garner when I was in 7th grade. I attended Garner Jr. High and then graduated from Millsap High School in 1979. I received my Associates degree from Weatherford College in 1981. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in elementary education in 1994 and my Masters degree in education administration in 2010. Both of these degrees are from Tarleton State University. For my first teaching job I returned to Garner I.S.D. where I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade language arts and reading for thirteen years. In 2007, I started teaching at Graford High School and taught 7th and 8th grade language arts and reading, along with being yearbook sponsor. I moved into administration at Graford I.S.D. in 2010 by serving as elementary principal for two years. I am now in my fifth year as high school principal.
My husband David and I have been happily married for 36 years. We have three children. Our daughter Angela and her husband Jason live in Fort Worth, where she is a CPA and an auditor of government contracts, and he is a regional manager for Taco Casa. Our other daughter Jenny now resides in Palo Pinto county, where she is kept very busy with our three grandchildren. My son Nathan lives in Fort Worth and teaches Spanish at Stripling Cox Middle School.
We love to spend time with our grandbabies: Justin, age 9, Jaleigh, age 6, and Jadie, age 5, all currently attending Graford Elementary. We also like to spend time "junking" at flea markets, estate sales, and antique stores. And, last but not least, we love supporting the Jackrabbits and attending the many activities and events at Graford School.
